Make your keys beep from your phone

A small tracking tag on your keys, purse or suitcase lets your phone make it beep and show it on a map. Which tag fits your phone, where to buy one, how to set it up, and the alerts that warn you about a stranger's tag.

The step-by-step pictures, the poster and the screen graphics for this tip come with a subscription to The World Desk. Communities in the program get every Tech Tip for their residents.

We use AI to help research and draft our stories and to create our illustrations. Every illustration made with AI is labeled. Every story passes an independent fact-check or our editor’s approval before it runs, and anything flagged red stays out unless it is fixed and re-checked, or the editor approves it. Our editor, William Kohn, sets the rules and is accountable for every edition. See something wrong? Email comments@theworlddesk.news.
