How it works (4-minute video)

AI-narrated overview · free to watch, no sign-in

What it gives your team

Something to show on a tour

The 3-minute 3 To Know video on the lobby screen, four large-type stories set out each Saturday, and posters for the week’s gatherings. Visitors see residents engaged without anyone having to explain it.

A story for your brochure and website

Residents start each day with a world briefing and gather each week to talk about it. It’s a concrete answer when families ask what life here is like.

Trust families care about

No ads in anything we deliver, and we never sell residents’ information. Every edition is reviewed by our editor, William Kohn, who lives in a life-plan community himself.

A modest line item

Priced by community size, and residents never pay. For communities over 75 homes, the cost is under $1 per unit a month. See the pricing →

For your community as a whole

It helps your sales and marketing team, too.

A program like this is something your community can point to. On tours, your team can show a real edition residents read every week. It’s a resident benefit worth listing in your brochure and on your website. It can also go to prospective residents as a gift from your community, so they get a feel for life there before they move in. People considering a move to your community get the daily briefing free for 365 days, as your community’s gift. Your sales office pays for the Sales Plan after the free trial: 30 days for the Sales Plan, or 60 days in the Founding Sales Partner campaign; after a year, you choose to take each prospect off or keep them on longer.

Every edition carries your community’s name, so residents know it comes from you, and prospects and families who see it remember where it came from.

How the 365-day prospect gift works

People considering a move get the daily briefing free for 365 days, as the community’s gift. After a year, your sales office chooses to take each prospect off or keep them on longer.

Sample: the top of the October 3, 2026 daily briefing with a bar across the top reading 'Courtesy of [Your Community]'
Sample only: the October 3, 2026 edition with a “Courtesy of [Your Community]” bar, to show the idea. Prospects see your community’s name on the daily email and on the briefing itself.

A ready-made line for your brochure and website

Every prospect who tours with us receives The World Desk daily briefing free for 365 days, courtesy of [Your Community].

What your sales office pays

Your gift to every prospect: each person on your list gets the daily briefing free for 365 days, courtesy of your community. Your sales office pays the Sales Plan after the free trial: 30 days for the Sales Plan, or 60 days in the Founding Sales Partner campaign. The Sales Plan includes the daily briefing only.

Half of what sales pays is credited toward your community’s Community Program for residents. For example, if sales pays $150 a month, $75 a month comes off the residents’ program.

After each prospect’s free year, your sales office can take them off the list or extend them longer if needed. Your choice, in writing.

A note to forward to your lifestyle director

Hi [name],

I came across The World Desk Community Edition. I think it could help us on tours as well as on your calendar, and since you'd be the one running it, I wanted you to see it first.

It's a daily world-news briefing with weekly conversation programs, made for communities like ours. Every morning there's a short briefing in plain English and a 3-minute news video we could play on the lobby screen. Each week there are ready-made gatherings, such as Coffee and a Country, a different country each week, and a short-story discussion. Each comes with a host guide anyone can read aloud, a resident sheet and a poster.

There are no ads in anything they deliver, and they never sell residents' information. Residents pay nothing. The community subscribes, priced by its size. For communities over 75 homes, the cost is under $1 per unit a month. Prospects can get the daily briefing free for 365 days as our gift, which keeps our name in front of them every morning.

They offer a free month for staff to look it over. Nothing goes to residents during that month, and nothing converts to paid unless the community agrees in writing.
